Produced by Saurabh Tewari under Parin Multimedia, the show is making headlines after reports of contractual disagreements between Salvi and the makers emerged. Manasi Salvi’s Exit From Mahadev & Sons

Viewers have appreciated Manasi Salvi’s performance as the primary villain in Mahadev & Sons. Despite the positive response, the show has given her less screentime because her character is not linked to the primary family of the series. 

Reports suggest that she chose to step away from the show mid-way. This step allegedly went against her contract with the show. As she was connected with an exclusive contract, the makers earlier hinted that they might take legal action over the alleged breach. 

Manasi Plans Defamation Case

Manasi has responded publicly amid the ongoing controversies. In a conversation with The Free Press Journal, she confirmed that she wants to take legal action against the producer of the TV programme. 

She said that she is planning to file a defamation case against the makers. This development hints that the matter might turn into a prolonged legal battle between the actress and the producer.

Reports of New Show Spark Fresh Speculation

The situation has also taken a shocking turn as reports claim that Manasi Salvi was also in discussion for a new show of Cockrow and Shaika Entertainment for Zee TV when she was working in Mahadev & Sons. She has also been confirmed to join this show. 

Reports say that this new opportunity was mentioned as one of the reasons for her exit from the Colors TV’s show. Meanwhile, the exclusivity clause in her existing contract became the major concern in the controversy. It usually restricts the actors from working on other projects with the competitive channels. 

Producer Reaches Out to Industry Bodies

As the issue is going forward, producer Saurabh Tewari has also approached IFTPC and CINTAA.  

A formal communication dated May 2, 2026, highlights that Manasi was fully aware of her limited scope from the start, as the show is a remake with a predefined storyline, according to reports. 

Despite it, she chose to walk out of the show, that leads to contractual conflict. 

Past Work History Comes Into Discussion

This is not the first incident linked to Manasi Salvi, as she reportedly also opted out of Colors TV’s Junooniyat in the past. But she was replaced by another actress in that show. Meanwhile, there is no confirmation on Bhanu’s character at the time of writing.

Channel’s Stand on Contract Violations

Reports revealed that Colors TV has invested heavily in the creation of the character of Bhanu Vajpayee. The channel is strict in enforcing contractual commitments, especially when it comes to the exclusivity clause. 

It is considered a serious concern to discuss with the rival channel for its new show while being contractually connected to the ongoing show. And the channel is unlikely to ignore this case.
