Arjit Taneja To Join Dr Aarambhi For This Role

Arjit Taneja is reportedly set to enter Colors TV’s Dr Aarambhi as the new male lead. His character is expected to support Aarambhi and bring a major twist to the storyline.

Colors TV’s Dr Aarambhi is all set to surprise its viewers with a fresh twist to the new entry. The show currently focuses on Aarambhi's struggles as she tries to balance her marital responsibilities with her medical career. Meanwhile, her husband, Dr Vishwas (Aditya Redij), always attempts to stop her dream. Now, Gossip TV suggests that a new character is set to enter to support her. 

Arjit Taneja To Enter as The Male Lead 

So far, the show has centred on Dr Vishwas because he appears as Aarambhi’s husband. Instead of being supportive, he always tries to put Aarambhi down to stop her from becoming a doctor. 

Meanwhile, the makers have now decided to give Aarambhi a support system. Arjit Taneja is set to enter the show as the male lead, while Dr Vishwas will switch to the negative lead. He will be there to support Aarambhi in achieving her dream. His character reportedly will play an important role in the journey of the female lead.  He might also bring the fresh dynamics to the ongoing storyline.

Popularity of Arjit Taneja

For those unaware, Arjit is not a fresh name in the industry because he has been seen in many TV shows. He gained fame from Zee TV’s Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye. His chemistry with Sriti Jha was widely appreciated in that show. Apart from that, he has appeared in shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Zindagi Ki Mehek, Kaleerein, and many more. 

After that, he was seen in Star Plus’s Jhanak after a generation leap. Meanwhile, he left that show after a few months of joining. 

On top of that, he has also won the Best Actor in a Television Series award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2025 for his portrayal of Virat Singh Ahuja in  Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye. 

His experience in too many shows has already helped him to gain a loyal fanbase across social media platforms; his entry in Dr Aarambhi could help the show to attract new eyeballs towards the show. 

Arjit Taneja Won The Race

The journey of Arjit Taneja to securing the position as the male lead was never easy. Reports suggest that popular TV actor Hitesh Bhardwaj was also approached for the same role.

Hitesh is also a well-known face on Indian television. He gained fame from the popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. People still recall him for his portrayal of Rajat in the same show. His chemistry with Savi (Bhavika Sharma) was widely appreciated by fans. They were also referred to as #Saraj.

Apart from that show, he was last seen in Aami Dakini. He is also seen in shows like Udaariyan, Chooti Sardarni, and Agar Tum Saath Ho. His experience and strong fanbase were enough to secure the role in Dr Aarambhi. 

Arjit and Hitesh reportedly also did their look test before. Still, the makers see more potential in Arjit than Hitesh for the same role. It would be now interesting to see whether Arjit will be able to impress the audience after securing this role.

Although Arjit has not reacted to the news, fans have started reacting to the buzz. Most of his fans are excited to see him back on their TV because they used to miss him on the screen.

Meanwhile, a few also criticised the decision by recalling that he had left Jhanak before.  They also said that he may also leave this show after a few months, just like his last show.
