The latest Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah promo has sparked concern among fans after Bapuji goes missing and Jethalal breaks down emotionally. Is Amit Bhatt leaving the show?

Sony Sab’s popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been successful in attracting audience eyeballs for more than a decade. Meanwhile, it has also grabbed attention after many actors’ exits, including Shailesh Lodha, Neha Mehta, Jeniffer Mistry, and many more. On top of that, Disha Vakani (Daya Ben) has also been missing from the show for many years. 

The makers have also introduced a new family recently to keep the audience hooked. But the latest promo has shocked fans and left them wondering whether Champaklal Gada (Amit Bhatt), often popular as Bapuji, is exiting the show. 

Gokuldham in Panic After Bapuji Goes Missing

The makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are popular for blending family drama with comedy. And the latest promo hints at the same. The new teaser begins with tension inside Gokuldham Society after Champaklal Gada suddenly goes missing. 

Bapuji has always been one of the important characters in the show. He gives wisdom, discipline, and warmth to the Gada family and the complete society. His disappearance has created immediate panic among residents because of that role. 

The promo showcases Jethalal rushing from one house to another to ask the neighbour whether they have seen Bapuji. Each resident gave the same answer that they had not seen him anywhere. 

When they found that Bapuji had left his mobile phone at home, the tension within the society skyrocketed because it became extremely difficult to contact him.  That single detail was enough to create more tension among the show’s fans.

Phone Call Breaks Jethalal Emotionally

The shocking moment of the promo came when Jethalal is seen talking to someone on a phone call. He asks him whether his father is with him. Instead of getting relief, he gets the shocking news. 

The caller says that Bapuji has gone away and left everyone behind. On top of that, the caller is shown in white clothes that people usually wear when someone has died. After listening to his words, Jethalal lost his control and started crying. 

This small promo has created much buzz online because viewers are used to seeing Jethalal in a comic avatar.  His emotional state is usually shocking for every fan who watches the show regularly.

Is Bapuji Really Leaving the Show?

Although the promo strongly hints at the shocking development, many viewers believe the real story might be difficult. Regular viewers understand that the makers have reused some tracks to attract their eyeballs. The missing Bapuji track is one of those tracks that people have watched many times in the show with fresh twists.

This time too, the makers might be preparing for another misunderstanding track. Bapuji might have gone somewhere for an important work, or the phone message could have been taken into another context. Makers of the show have used such tactics repeatedly in many of the previous promos. 

Several actors have indeed been replaced by the makers in the past. But the reports of his exit have not emerged as of now. Plus, the show has not shown anyone’s death till now in its 17 years of run because its main core is making viewers happy. The death plot is not possible in such a type of show. 

Makers have even replaced Kavi Kumar Azad (Dr Hathi) and Ghanashyam Nayak (Natu Kaku) after their tragic deaths in real life. 

On top of that, Bapuji is one of the most popular characters in the show. His bond with Jethalal has delivered many memorable moments. So, his death is not possible in the sitcom.
