Suriya’s Karuppu has finally reached the theatre today after an intense period of delays and show cancellations.  RJ Balaji’s directorial was scheduled to hit the box office on 14 May 2026 after the delay of Diwali 2025. But the financial issues prevented it from reaching the theatres, leading to a one-day delay and show cancellation.

Fans took the social media platform, X, to share their honest opinions about the movie. Despite the delay in release, most viewers loved the overall movie. Most of them liked the interval sequence and Suriya’s screen presence. 

A user calls it a complete package of mass action and emotion. He mentioned Suriya’s screen presence and his transformation to Karuppasamy was the standout element of the movie. 

The user also shares Sai Abhyankkar's bang on BGM elevated the opening fight scene and interval twist. On top of that, he appreciated RJ Balaji for offering an interesting screenplay without any flaws.

Another user praised the second half for its theatrical experience. He even shared that cllmax of the movie is very interesting, and calls Sai Abhyankkar the parallel hero of the film for his engaging background music.
