 The official Karuppu trailer starring Suriya has finally been released. Directed by RJ Balaji, the fantasy action drama promises intense action, courtroom conflicts, and divine revenge ahead of its May 14 release.

The makers of Karuppu have finally released the much-awaited official trailer of the Tamil action drama. And it has already generated massive excitement among fans. Featuring Suriya in an intense role, it promises a combination of courtroom drama, action, fantasy, and emotional storytelling. The film is set to hit the theaters on May 14, 2026, under the direction of RJ Balaji. 

The newly released Karuppu trailer offers a glimpse into the world of injustice, anger, and divine revenge. It also hints at a high-energy entertainer created for the big screen experience, as it has powerful action scenes and emotional moments.

The trailer starts with a heartbreaking legal battle involving the father (Indrans) and the daughter (Anagha Maya Devi). They look frustrated and helpless because their court case keeps getting delayed. A manipulative lawyer named Baby Kannan (RJ Balaji) comes out as the primary reason behind the delay, as he plays a surprising negative role. 

The family moves towards the divine path after losing their truth in the legal system. Saravanan (Suriya) enters the story with high hopes. The trailer hints that his character is connected to the strong village deity Karuppusamy. His entry changes the entire story as he fights against corruption and injustice with countless acts of rage. 

The Tamil cinema audience has appreciated the visuals, background score, and mass moments in the trailer.

Karuppu Trailer Release Date And Theatrical Launch

The trailer is already out on May, 10 2026. Clips and screenshots from the Karuppu trailer started trending online soon after the trailer launch. 

The movie is scheduled to hit the theaters worldwide on May 14, 2026. The production has also dismissed the rumours around the possible delay in the release. It has also confirmed that the release plan is unchanged, 

Advance ticket booking for the film has also started on big ticketing platforms, like BookMyShow and District. The early response shows strong interest from fans across the country.

Suriya And Trisha Reunite After Two Decades

The reunion of Suriya and Trisha Krishnan after nearly 20 years has already become a major talking point among the fans. 

Trisha Krishnan will be seen as Preethi in the film. She will be another lawyer who stands against Baby Kannan and supports Saravanan in the fight for justice. Both of them are ready to appear in completely different roles compared to their last films. 

Apart from Suriya and Trisha, Mansoor Ali Khan, George Maryan, Swasika, Sshivadha, and Supreeth Reddy will also be seen in an important role in Karuppu. But Natty Natraj will be there as a judge in the movie. 

RJ Balaji’s First Solo Directorial Film

RJ Balaji is directing the movie independently for the 1st time. He previously made his directorial debut under Mookuthi Amman and NJ Saravanan. He enters a larger commercial space packed with action and fantasy elements with Karuppu. 

The trailer suggests he is aiming for a complete theatrical entertainer and touching themes of injustice, belief, and revenge.  

Music And Technical Team Behind Karuppu

Sai Abhyankkar is composing music for Karuppu. He is popular for hits like Aasa Kooda, Sithira Puthiri, Vizhi Veekura, etc. He made his debut with the Malayalam Tamil bilingual film Balti. He has also worked on many popular projects.  

Cinematographer GK Vishnu, editor R Kalaivanan, and production designer Arun Venjaramoodu are the people behind the film’s technical crew. The stunt masters Anbariv and Vikram Mor are managing the action sequences. 

The film could be one of the big Tamil releases of the summer season as it is being produced under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabu.
