Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar have reportedly selected Himachal Pradesh over Mumbai as their permanent residence. Reports claim that the filmmaker-actor couple is spending their most time at their property in Gohar, Mandi. They indeed travel to Mumbai when they have professional commitments.
This move comes after a busy period in their professional lives. Although Aditya has several major projects on board, Yami is also working on acting projects while keeping her private life away from the limelight.
Yami Gautam’s 100-Year-Old Himachal Home
Himachal Pradesh holds a special place in Yami's life. She purchased a 100-year-old house on a sprawling 25-acre property in Gohar, Mandi before her marriage.
More traditional features are available there instead of luxury amenities. Although the house is said to be built with wood & stone, greenery, gardens, and farmland have surrounded it. Several crops & fruits are also there.
It gained significance after Yami and Aditya got married there in June 2021. While the marriage was an intimate ceremony, the house became an important part of the couple's lives.
Why Did Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar Leave Mumbai?
The preference for a quieter lifestyle away from the constant attention in Mumbai is said to be among the reasons behind their move to shift to Himachal Pradesh.
Their professional commitments kept them in the city for several years. They reportedly have a spacious apartment in Khar West. Aditya Dhar even joked about their residential address during a promotional event for Dhurandhar in late 2025.
Himachal property, on the other hand, offers a different environment. Yami and Aditya have kept their house simple and connected to the original instead of converting it into an elegant celebrity residence.
The Couple Keep Their Family Life Private
Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar have consistently kept a low profile in terms of family. Although they welcomed their first son named Vedavid, they haven't revealed his face in public.
Yami even kept his face hidden when she shared his photo on social media platforms in September 2025. It shows their approach to protecting their family's privacy despite having high-profile careers.
Aditya even makes a few public appearances outside his professional commitments. Her appearance at the National Film Awards ceremony in Gujarat was one of his notable appearances at a public event.
Yami Gautam Raises Concern Over AI-Altered Photos
Yami also raised her concern about AI content related to her photos. She requested the media to avoid using AI to alter or enhance photographs taken during her public appearances. She also highlighted that images can be used in their original form and changing a person's image or likeness with AI should not happen without their knowledge and consent.

Yami Gautam’s Upcoming Nayyi Navelli
Yami is also coming with interesting projects in the coming days. She is set to headline an upcoming Indian fantasy family entertainer named Nayyi Navelli directed by Balaji Mohan.
Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma, though, have written it, Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma are also producing it under Colour Yellow. The film also marks their first collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.
Yami, meanwhile, also visited Patna Sahib Gurudwara in Patna on October 3 where she offered prayers.
