For those unaware, the 17-year-old model attended the event with her mother, Nicole Kidman. It marks a significant milestone in her rising career. 

A Glimpse Into the Design Process

After the event, Sunday Rose took Instagram stories to share the journey of her dress-making with her fans. Jonathan Anderson created the dress for Dior. It features delicate tones of pink and white. The sketch was included with her name written at the bottom with “Met Gala 2026”, which made it a personal keepsake for her journey. 

The final dress also showed the same artistic vision as it had a structured bodice decorated with floral textures and a soft, flowing skirt that suited the event’s theme well.

Sunday Rose Makes Her Met Gala Debut

The Met Gala 2026 was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City under the theme of “Fashion Is Art.” Meanwhile, the upcoming exhibition of the museum, “Costume Art,” is behind the inspiration of this year’s theme. 

Sunday Rose’s appearance also attracted attention due to her looks and her age because the event has an 18+ rule. It means that only celebrities more than aged 18 can join the event. But Rose is only 17 years old.

Rose’s mother, Nicole Kidman, revealed a surprising detail when speaking at the event about her daughter’s routine. She said that her daughter had to go to school 8:00 am the next day.  

The combination of high-fashion exposure and everyday responsibilities shows the simple upbringing she maintained despite growing up in the spotlight.

Sunday Rose was born in July 2008 in Nashville to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. She also has a younger sister named Faith Margaret, and two half-siblings from her mother’s first marriage to Tom Cruise. 

On top of that, her name also has a special meaning because it is inspired by an Australian arts patron, Sunday Reed. She has grown with cinema, music, and creativity 

Future Goals Beyond Modelling

Although she is getting attention in fashion, Sunday Rose has also shared her long-term desire to enter filmmaking. In the previous interviews, she mentioned that she has wanted to pursue this road since childhood. 

"Filmmaking has actually been my dream career since I was 5, so I hope I’m able to study that in college," she said to NYLON.

As of now, she is continuously supporting her mother's project while looking for opportunities in modelling and fashion.
