The supernatural show was launched in June 2025 at 8:30 PM. Despite getting a prime time slot, it failed to get good ratings in terms of viewership. This is because the channel shifted the show to the early slot of 6:30 PM to make way for Krushal Ahuja’s Bindii. 

The good days for Noyontara started at 6:30 PM as the show started getting better than expected ratings in the early slot. At a point, it began gathering viewership of 1 TRP ratings that was impossible to touch for many shows. This forced the channel to keep extending the show.

After attracting impressive viewership, the show began falling in the TRP Chart recently due to repetitive storyline and increased negativity. The show even took many twists to revive the ratings, including the death of lead actor Surjo (Arjun Chakrabarty). 

After the death of the lead, the show's TRP fell sharply to an all-time low. The makers then introduced a generational leap with the introduction of Mangal Lakshmi fame Shubham Dipta as a new male lead named Prateek. Meanwhile, Shruti Bisht stepped into a new character of Noyontara’s daughter, Tara. 

The leap allowed the writers to fast-forward the timeline and reset some relationships. And it gives the story renewed momentum for some time. Viewers especially appreciated Shruti Bisht for remaining consistent after the plot change. 


After the leap, the rating started improving slowly. But the channel decided to pull off the show due to a change in content strategy and the need for new content. Also, struggling ratings are among the reasons behind Noyontara's off-air.
