Although it was scheduled for release on January 9, the film has been postponed, with no confirmed release date yet. Reports suggest that the certification issue with the Central Board of Film Certification is the main reason behind the delay.

When speaking to the Chennai airport, Rajnikanth asked about the ongoing delay on Jana Nayagan. Starring Vijay, it has been making headlines because of its uncertain release status. 

He replied with a short comment, “I don’t want to comment on it”.

As mentioned before, it was scheduled to be released on 9 January. Since then, there has been no confirmation from the makers related to the new release date. It has only boosted excitement around the project.

The first instalment received an immense response at the box office. It reportedly earns around ₹650 crores throughout the world. The sequel might continue the story on a larger scale. It has already boosted the excitement among the fans.

Collaboration with Kamal Haasan After Decades

Apart from Jailer 2, Rajinikanth also confirmed details about his upcoming project with Kamal Haasan. Currently known as RKxKH, it is a big collaboration between two of the biggest names in Indian cinema. 

They are coming together after around 47 years. Their reunion has already boosted massive buzz. 

Meanwhile, the details about the project are limited as of now.  Rajinikanth stated that the project will start in August 2026. He also mentioned that the story has already been finalised, and the director will share more details.

Rajinikanth’s Message to Youth

Apart from films, Rajinikanth also addressed fan behaviour at public events. He advised the youth to stay careful and avoid risky situations.

Rajinikanth also used the opportunity to share a broader message with the youth. He encouraged them to focus on education and maintain a healthy lifestyle. He also motivates them to stay away from drugs and alcohol.  

He said, “If you indulge in such activities, you ruin your life and family. Stay away from friends who are involved in such activities.”
