The much-awaited teaser of Raja Shivaji has been released on the internet. After screening in the theaters, it is now out online on 31 March 2026. Starring and directed by Riteish Dekhmush, the film gives a fresh look at the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who developed the bases of Swarajya against tough odds.

The footage offers a solid taste of what’s coming in the movie. One should expect sweeping battle scenes, detailed costumes, and sets that feel straight out of history books.

In the teaser, Riteish Deshmukh looks the part of the fearless Maratha ruler. Also, the teaser hints at intense action scenes, rich visuals, and a story that showcases courage and strategy.

 

It also captures the spirit of the leader who fought for people and his land with unshakable determination. Already, the makers have described it as a high-energy period drama that shows the side of battles and the grandeur of the era.

Impressive Role Of Riteish Deshmukh and Supporting Cast

Apart from the lead role, Deshmukh has also co-written the story and screenplay along with Ajit Wadekar and Sandeep Patil. It shows that he has shown respect for the project of the historic figure while aiming for mass entertainment. 

Known for powerful tracks like Zingaat, the hit duo Ajay-Atul is giving their efforts to the music of this movie. Meanwhile, Santosh Sivan is using his ability to showcase impressive frames through cinematography in Raja Shivaji. 

And David Szatarski and Manohar Verma are choreographing the action sequences, with Remo D’Souza handling dance numbers, and John Stewart Eduri scores the background music. 

Last but not least, Nikhil Kovale, Apurva Bhagat, and Shashank Tere are including the authentic feel with their production design.

One of the producers, Genelia Deshmukh, always shares her excitement across social media. Apart from her, Jyoti Deshpande joins her as co-producer under the Mumbai Film Company banner, with Jio Studios presenting the film.

Raja Shivaji Release Date and Languages Confirmed

Fans should mark their calendar for May 1, 2026. Yes, you read it right! The movie will release on Maratha Day in multiple languages like Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu simultaneously, making it accessible to the audience across the country. The teaser is already available in Marathi and Hindi. 

All these elements positioned the movie as a grand historical action-drama. As we mentioned above, it will focus on Shivaji Maharaj's early years, his battles against larger forces, and the dream of self-rule as well.
