The Dhurandhar 2 trailer has finally dropped, teasing Ranveer Singh’s intense return as Jaskirat Singh Rangi in Aditya Dhar’s high-stakes spy sequel.

The much-awaited Dhurandhar 2 trailer has finally hit the internet this morning, and has become among the most trending updates for fans. It gives fans a much-needed glimpse of the movie. In addition, it hints at an even darker and more brutal saga this time. 

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is officially titled Dhurandhar The Revenge. The new promo confirms that the story continues from the shocking events of the first film, bringing back Ranveer Singh in his powerful role as Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

The Dhurandhar 2 trailer shows Ranveer Singh stepping back into the world of espionage and undercover missions. His character Jaskirat Singh Rangi is now inside the dangerous criminal networks that operate across borders.

The first film ended with a dramatic twist, revealing that Hamza Ali Mazari was actually Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an undercover Indian agent sent to infiltrate Pakistan’s underworld. Now, Dhurandhar 2 picks up from that moment.

In the trailer, Jaskirat rises in Lyari’s criminal hierarchy after the death of Rahman Dakait. A big hint in the promo suggests that he may become the next “Lyari ka badshah.” The action-packed visuals also feature large-scale confrontations, covert missions, and political tension.

The final moment of the trailer shows Jaskirat giving a bold line about India deciding the future of Pakistan, setting the tone for the tension in Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Story of Dhurandhar and the rise of Jaskirat Singh Rangi

Released in December 2025, Aditya Dhar wrote and directed the original Dhurandhar. The film followed an Indian intelligence operation launched following terror events in the region.

In that story, a young man from Punjab, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, was hired for a secret mission. He took on the identity of Hamza Ali Mazari and entered Karachi’s criminal networks to bring down a terror group.

Throughout the mission, he earned the trust of a powerful Baloch gang led by Rahman Dakait. The climax revealed that the operation was only the beginning of a much larger plan.

Now Dhurandhar 2 continues that mission as the stakes grow higher. The trailer suggests that Jaskirat’s cover is becoming more dangerous, with many factions fighting for power in Lyari.

Dhurandhar 2 runtime and scale expected to be massive

The first Dhurandhar surprised audiences with its epic length and scale. The film had a runtime of more than three hours and featured large action sequences shot across India and international locations.

Early reports suggest the Dhurandhar 2 runtime could again be quite long, matching the scale of the franchise. According to reports, the runtime could be around 4 hours. Hence, we are expecting an equally grand cinematic experience when Dhurandhar The Revenge hits theatres.

Besides Ranveer Singh, the franchise also includes a strong supporting cast featuring:

Dhurandhar 2 trailer release date and worldwide launch plans

The Dhurandhar 2 trailer release date was confirmed for March 7, when the makers dropped the new promo online at around 11:01 AM. Within hours, the video began trending across social media platforms.

The trailer also confirmed that Dhurandhar The Revenge will come in cinemas worldwide on March 19, 2026. Unlike the first film, the sequel is expected to be released in many languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Advance ticket bookings for Dhurandhar 2 are also expected to begin soon in India, while overseas sales have already started in select markets.

Box office expectations for Dhurandhar 2

Despite mixed reviews, the first Dhurandhar turned out to be a big box-office success. Iy reportedly collected over ₹1300 crore worldwide, becoming one of the biggest hits of 2025.

Because of that success, expectations from Dhurandhar 2 are extremely high. Trade analysts believe the sequel could open even bigger, especially after the strong response to the Dhurandhar trailer release.

The release calendar also looks favourable. Several films have adjusted their schedules recently, giving Dhurandhar the revenge a clearer path at the box office.
