BARC TRP Week 8 is out, and the latest data from BARC India shows many changes across popular Hindi shows. Viewership numbers saw some ups and downs this week, especially partly due to the ongoing T20 World Cup drawing attention away from daily television. Even with that competition, a few shows managed to stay steady while others experienced noticeable drops.

BARC Week 6 TRP Report: Anupamaa, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi & Naagin 7 Lead the Charts

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Leads the TRP Chart

The biggest headline this week belongs to Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, as it maintained the number one position after a small increase in ratings. The show continues to attract loyal viewers and has now taken the top spot on the chart.

Similarly, close behind is Tum Se Tum Tak, which secured second place simultaneously. The show has been performing consistently and maintaining a strong connection with audiences during the week because of the chemistry of the leads.

At number three, Anupamaa continued its steady run. The long-running family drama is among the most-watched programs and remains in the top three.

Strong Competition Within the Top Five

Many other shows stayed close behind the top contenders. Ganga Maai Ki Betiyaan secured the fourth position this week. The drama has been steadily attracting its audience and is gaining attention.

Fifth place went to Vasudha, which managed to stay within the top five despite heavy competition from other shows.

Naagin 7 slipped, but Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Improved

Meanwhile, Udne Ki Aasha landed in sixth place. The series has been performing well in recent weeks and continues to keep viewers engaged.

Another long-running favourite, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recorded a slight improvement in ratings and moved up to the seventh position. The show’s ongoing storyline appears to be drawing renewed interest.

However, Naagin 7 slipped slightly and settled at number eight this week. Although the show had high expectations, its boring storyline and excessive use of AI are annoying its loyal audience.

Familiar Shows Round Out the Top Ten

Comedy favourite Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah ranked ninth on the list. The long-running sitcom is holding a strong fan base even after many years on air.

One of the biggest highlights of the week was Lakshmi Niwas entering the top ten for the first time. The show secured the tenth position, marking an important milestone for the series.

Shows Just Outside the Top Ten

A few programs experienced a drop and moved outside the top ten.

Cooking reality show Laughter Chefs saw a major decline and landed at number eleven this week.

It was followed by Mr and Mrs. Parshuram in twelfth place and Mannat in thirteenth.

Further down the chart, Jagadhatri secured the fourteenth position, while Aarti Anjali Awasthi stood at number fifteen.

Remaining TRP Rankings

Several other shows completed the top twenty list for BARC TRP Week 8.

Dr. Aarambhi held the sixteenth position, followed by Tu Juliet Jatt Di at seventeenth.

Next came Mahadev And Sons in eighteenth place and Jhanak at number nineteen.

Finally, Saru re-entered the list and secured the twentieth position.

Channel Rankings This Week

Apart from individual show performance, channel rankings also showed interesting movement.

This week, Sony SAB emerged as the top general entertainment channel. Star Plus followed it in second place, while Colors TV secured the third position.

What This Week’s TRP Numbers Indicate

The Week 8 TRP chart shows how unpredictable television viewership can be, especially during major sporting events like the T20 World Cup. Some shows experienced dips as viewers shifted their attention, while others managed to stay stable.

The rise of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to the top spot and the entry of Lakshmi Niwas into the top ten were the biggest talking points of the week. Meanwhile, long-running hits like Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continued to maintain strong viewer interest.

With storylines changing and new twists arriving in several shows, the next week’s TRP list could bring more changes across the rankings.
