A struggling actor whose career reached rock bottom, Raju, is the main character of Welcome To The Jungle 2026. He suddenly gets an opportunity to lead a massive production of a wealthy businessman determined to create a financial disaster disguised as a movie.
Two inexperienced directors, a visually challenged cameraman, quirky supporting actors, gangsters looking to secure leading roles, and several others personality join the narrative to make it more enjoyable.
The situation changes dramatically when the crew reach a border village to complete filming. Although villages assume them as real heroes, crews and cast consider challenges as a part of the script. Real terrorists soon enter the picture to force everyone to confront the realities instead of being in the movie script.
The mistaken-identity angle gives the second half more energy compared to the first half. Some comic scenes come out naturally from the confusion. They make these areas significantly more entertaining than a lengthy setup.

Akshay Kumar proves again why he stays among Bollywood’s strongest comic performers. He looks completely comfortable making fun of his own images when he revisits references from earlier films. He keeps many scenes alive through his expressions, timing, and reactions, even when the jokes fall flat.
Besides Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty enjoys one of the film’s funniest roles. His ability gives an energetic unpredictability that fits perfectly within the film’s universe. He also delivers many comic moments.
Arshad Warsi also includes his trademark as he shares an enjoyable chemistry with the cast. He left his impression despite having less screen time. Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav also prove their seniority with their performance. Johnny Lever also showed his popular comic instinct.
Shreyas Talpade contributes effectively through his unique character. Jackie Shroff makes for a reasonably entertaining antagonist. But the writing never allows his character to become especially memorable.
Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani also received limited opportunities beyond supporting the story among the female cast. The extended appearance of Lara Dutta also offers a few amusing moments. But Ravina Tondon benefits only from nostalgic value rather than substantial character development.
Veteran actresses Farida Jalal and Kiran Kumar left a stronger impact despite their brief appearance. They proved that experiences could outweigh screen time.

Ahmed Khan directs the films with extensive energy and visual scale. The production indeed looks expensive. And a few action scenes are built impressively. The location also adds freshness compared to the last installments in the Welcome franchise.
The production design also successfully creates the filmmaking environment and village setting. Costumes and set pieces match the exaggerated tone the film aims for. The editing, though, becomes one of the film’s biggest issues.
Several scenes could have been trimmed without affecting the overall story by over 160 minutes. The repetitive introductions and extended slapstick scenes slow down the pacing considerably.
The background score also supports the comic atmosphere. And the soundtrack evokes moments of nostalgia when it revisits familiar classic musical themes. Although the visual effects occasionally look artificial and inconsistent, cinematography becomes polished throughout.
