Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti are among the most beloved couples on Indian television. First seen in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai in 2012, the couple was widely appreciated by fans. Meanwhile, Karan Singh Grover exited the show because he wants to focus on his Bollywood career. 

After 6 years after the show’s end, both of them collaborated again for a Zee 5 series, Qubool Hai 2.0, due to immense demand. The couple is coming back again after 5 years for an exciting show.

According to Mid Day reports, Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti are set to reunite for a romantic web series for an OTT platform. The project is already on the floor, as the reports suggest the shooting for the show has already started.  

This reunion is special because Jyoti has expressed the desire to work with him again in a recent interaction on Zoom. 

She said, “I have already worked with Karan. So working with him wasn't difficult at all because we already had that comfort level."

The long-awaited reunion has fulfilled the desire of fans and actors as well.

Karan Singh Grover as Asad Ahmed Khan and Surbhi Jyoti as Zoya Farooqui were one of the highlights of the show. Both of them earned a loyal fan base from that show. 

After Karan’s exit, the popularity of the pair remained strong throughout many years as Raqesh Bapat stepped in for the role of Asad. The series eventually wrapped up in 2015. But the demand to see them together never ended.

After Qubool Hai’s conclusion, Surbhi appeared in many popular shows like Naagin 3 and Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai. She also explored OTT ventures with series like Gunaah and Tanhaiyan. She made her broad footprints with her performance in the entertainment world. 

Meanwhile, Karan Singh Grover has also done excellent work in TV shows and movies. Apart from Qubool Hai, he gained his initial fame with Star One’s Dill Mill Gayye. He appeared in Kasauti Zindagi Kay after that. Alone, Fighter, and Hate Story 3 are among some of his top movies.

Return in Qubool Hai 2.0 Strengthened Their Fan Base

After a few years, Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti reunited for Zee5’s shorter format series, Qubool Hai 2.0.  The show got a positive response from the audience as viewers appreciated their familiar chemistry and comfort on screen. 

What We Know About the New Romantic Drama

The new series is reportedly a romantic drama designed for a digital audience. Although the exact details about the project have not been disclosed yet, it is not confirmed whether it is a short-form or multiple-span show. 

Meanwhile, the SBS reports claimed that the show is being developed as a vertical format show.  This format is becoming popular now as people prioritize it since the evolution of Instagram reels. On top of that, it is said to be produced by Gul Khan, the mind behind Qubool Hai creation. 

Surbhi Jyoti is also said to play the role of the pregnant wife of Karan’s character. Interesting,  she is also pregnant in real life with husband Sumit Suri in February this year. It mirrors her real life with the real life. 

The details about the streaming platform and release date are expected to be out soon.
