Abhishek Kumar Confirmed As Lead In Ishk Dum Aur Idli Rasam With Shiny Doshi

Abhishek Kumar has reportedly bagged the male lead role in Ishk Dum Aur Idli Rasam. He will be seen opposite Shiny Doshi in the upcoming Balaji Digital series.

The long speculation around the cast of Ishk Dum Aur Idli Rasam has finally come to an end as Abhishek Kumar has been finalised to play the male lead. Although Shiny Doshi had already been finalised for the female lead, the search for the male lead was in full swing, as the makers had earlier approached many big names. 

As previously reported, Vivek Dahiya and Shoaib Ibrahim were in contention to play the male lead. Now, the makers have finally signed Abhishek Kumar. The decision to select him is seen as an important move for the upcoming show because Abhishek has strong visibility and a television audience. 

Shiny Doshi To Play Female Lead

As mentioned above, Shiny has been locked to play the female lead in Ishk Dum Aur Idli Rasam. As both leads are now finalised, fans’ interest in the series has increased. 

She is popular for shows like Jamai Raja, The 50, and more. She gained initial fame with her show, Pandya Store. Her experience in family dramas and relationship-based stories might add to the show’s story.

As the name suggests, the series blends modern storytelling with a South Indian backdrop. It is said to revolve around a woman who runs her own restaurant. It might highlight the struggle that a woman faces while running her own business. The web show is also rumoured to have its own soundtracks.

Surbhi Chandna Turns Producer

The show is also gaining headlines as it is the first show of Surbhi Chandna as a producer. Known for her successful acting career, she has earned a strolng place in the TV industry through hit shows and memorable performances in Naagin and Ishqbaaz. Her move into production is a fresh chapter in her professional journey. 

Balaji Telefilms’ digital is also backing the show as it will be streamed on its YouTube channel. The expectations are already growing due to the inclusion of popular faces and a known production banner. 

Reports suggest that the shooting of the series has already started in Mumbai. It means that the official announcement might come in the upcoming week. Till then, fans have to wait for the official streaming date.
