Ranveer Singh Dhurandhar 2 box office crosses ₹1000 crore in just 20 days, breaking major records and surpassing Dangal in key markets while continuing a strong global run.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is showing remarkable consistency at the box office. The much-awaited sequel has maintained steady momentum after completing around 3 weeks in theatres. 

The film has managed to stay ahead of the new releases due to positive reviews and repeat viewership. The action-packed storyline and performance have kept audiences engaged. These elements helped it sustain a solid Ranveer Singh Dhurandhar 2 box office collection every day.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge comes with high expectations after the massive success of its predecessor. On top of that, the absence of big competing releases has also worked in its favour. 

Ranveer Singh is also another big reason behind its success. His ability to portray Hamza Ali Mazari and Jaskirat Singh Rangi has been marked as a masterclass by the industry expert.   

The backstory of Hamza has also attracted the audience towards the theatres. Instead of showing what happened, it showcases Hamza’s origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. By showcasing the complete journey, Aditya Dhar’s efforts have been widely appreciated

The movie is creating history at the box office. It has crossed ₹1,000 crores in India in only 20 days, making it one of the biggest Hindi film successes in recent years.

It collected ₹674.17 crore in its first week, followed by ₹263.65 crore in the second. On top of that, it remained stable with earnings of more than ₹20 crore on Friday. As of now, the total net stands at ₹1,033.37 crore. 

It started with a powerful opening of ₹102.55 crore on day one. By the end of the first week, the total stood at ₹674.17 crore. ₹263.65 crore was added to the collection with steady growth. 

Its growth didn’t stop in the third week. Check the day-wise third week's collection below:

• Friday: ₹21.55 crore
• Saturday: ₹25.65 crore 
• Sunday: ₹28.25 crore 
• Monday: ₹10 crore 
• Tuesday: ₹10.10 crore 

With this growth, the movie has crossed ₹1,033.37 crore. These figures show the film’s consistency and strong audience connection.

Will Dhurandhar cross Dangal’s lifetime collection?   

The film has become one of the top-earning movies in the world because it has crossed  ₹1,600 crores. Although it has gone past the lifetime benchmark of Dangal in many markets, it is still behind Dangal ₹ 2070.30 crore worldwide in its lifetime run. Apart from it, it is also behind Pushpa: The Rule - Part 2, as it earned ₹1,742.10 crore globally.

The film has also created history by becoming the first Indian release to cross CAD 10 million. Earlier, Dangal held the record in Canada with more than CAD 2 million. It means that Dhurandhar 2 has already surpassed Dangal’s lifetime collection in Canada. 

The film has already broken many long-standing records till now. Now, Pushpa 2 and Dangal's gross collection is only left to break. If it maintains the same pace, it may easily cross Pushpa 2’s record. 

Meanwhile, it needs around ₹430 crores to surpass Dangal’s lifetime worldwide total. Although it still looks significant, the movie might still break Dangal’s record only if it follows the same speed at the box office

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film follows an undercover agent, Hamza Ali Mazari, on a high-risk mission against a terrorist network. 

Apart from Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar: The Revenge also features R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun. Their performances have been widely appreciated. And they also played a big role in the film’s success. 

Reactions from the industry have also boosted buzz because stars and filmmakers appreciated the impact. Deepika Padukone responded to discussions about her absence from promotional content.  She replied that she had watched the film earlier. 

Meanwhile, filmmaker Siddharth Anand also shared his thoughts about the movie. He addressed some of the criticism behind it. 

What Lies Ahead for the Film

The movie also has a clear path to continue its successful run because there are no big releases in the future. Experts suggest that the collection might grow further in the upcoming weeks. 

The film has already broken many records and is now aiming to break Dangal’s record.  It might also become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time because of its momentum.
