Surprisingly, it has crossed ₹700 crore in the world in only four days. It is a benchmark that many big blockbusters struggled to achieve.

Meanwhile, Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, entered the ₹500 crore club in the same timeframe. Dhurandhar 2 has gone many steps ahead by reaching ₹750 crore immediately. It is proof that it has expanded its reach beyond our expectations.

Beats 8 Major Bollywood Films in 24 Hours

Apart from breaking Jawan’s record, it has also overtaken many blockbuster lifetime box office collections.  Check the list of those films below:

  • Sanju – ₹541.76 crore
  • Padmaavat – ₹560 crore
  • Tiger Zinda Hai – ₹562.12 crore
  • KGF Chapter 2 – ₹583.85 crore
  • Sultan – ₹589 crore
  • Dhoom 3 – ₹601 crore
  • Gadar 2 – ₹685.19 crore

It has already entered the top 15 highest-grossing Bollywood films in the world. Now, it is eyeing on entering the top 10 list. Its momentum hints that it might achieve it soon.

Overseas Performance Creates History

Its international box office run is among the biggest highlights. Despite being banned in the GCC region, it has already earned ₹210+ crores overseas in just 4 days of its run. It is higher than many record holders, like Pushpa 2.

The strong performance in regions like North America and the UK has helped it to stay ahead in the race.

What if the GCC Release Was Allowed?

The film is banned in the GCC region because of its anti-Pakistani elements. Trade estimates suggest that it could have earned an extra ₹50 to 55 crores in the opening weekend if it had been released in the Gulf countries.

That would have pushed the worldwide total beyond ₹800 crore, potentially making it the biggest opening weekend in Indian cinema history.

Historic Milestone in Hindi Market

Its performance in the Hindi language is also another achievement.

Dhurandhar 2 has become the first film ever to collect ₹100 crore net in a single day in Hindi alone. Large-scale films, like RRR, KGF Chapter 2, and Bahubali 2, did not achieve it in a single language on a single day.

It shows the massive pull of the Hindi-speaking audience and the film’s dominance in core markets.

Challenges Didn’t Slow It Down

The race to become one of the most successful movies was not easy. Dhurandhar 2 has faced many struggles initially. Here is the list of those struggles:

  • Delayed or cancelled shows in South India
  • Late arrival of dubbed versions
  • Censor-related issues in some regions
  • No release in GCC countries

Audiences were redirected to the Hindi version because of the unavailability of regional language shows on the preview day.  Despite it, the number remained strong across all days.

Suppose these factors were not present. In that case, India's net and worldwide total could have been significantly higher.

Ranveer Singh’s Career Milestone

As it has already earned ₹762 crore, Dhurandhar 2 is now the second highest-grossing film of Ranveer Singh globally.

Top 5 Films of Ranveer Singh (Worldwide):

  1. Dhurandhar – ₹1354.84 crore
  2. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge – ₹762.20 crore
  3. Padmaavat – ₹560 crore
  4. Simmba – ₹393.01 crore
  5. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani – ₹348.89 crore

It has comfortably overtaken Padmaavat and is now moving toward the lifetime total of its predecessor.

What’s Next for Dhurandhar 2?

The next big test is the weekday trend, especially Monday collections. Meanwhile, early indicators such as booking and occupancy suggest the film will remain strong. Till the time of writing, it has already earned ₹31.28 crores.

As of now, the movie is trying to chase a major target of Stree 2 of ₹884 crore worldwide. It would place it in the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films.

Final Verdict

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has delivered among the biggest opening weekends ever seen in Indian cinema. With record-breaking numbers, strong audience response, and consistent global performance, the film has already secured blockbuster status.
