Renowned Television production house Peninsula Pictures is reportedly preparing to bring a fresh romantic show based on a Punjabi background, Saddi Seerat. It will be a new love story set against the colourful and rustic backdrop of Punjab. The show is said to be in development for one of the famous channels, Colors TV.
Young actors Manjeet Makkar and Sarah Killedar have reportedly been finalized for the lead roles in Saddi Seerat. The show promises to present a romantic tale rooted in Punjabi culture and traditions.
Manjeet Makkar and Sarah Killedar to Lead Saddi Seerat
Manjeet Makkar has previously appeared in several television and regional projects. He is now set to lead this upcoming romantic drama. For those unaware, he was earlier seen playing the lead character in Star Plus's Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi. He has also built his reputation with regional television audiences through appearing in the Punjabi series Nayan Jo Vekhe Unvekha.
Sarah Killedar is also one of the rising actors in the television industry. She gained wide recognition by playing Mukti in Star Plus's long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. During her appearance in the family drama, she gained immense fame among the family audience.
Apart from being Mukti, she has played important roles in Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon and Katha Ankahee. Through Saddi Seerat, she could give viewers an opportunity to watch her in a completely different setting.
