These Star Plus Shows Face Slot Changes - Udne Ki Aasha, Mr & Mrs Parshuram, etc to Suffer

Star Plus has reshuffled the slots of several popular shows, including Mr and Mrs Parshuram and Udne Ki Aasha. Fans have expressed disappointment over the sudden timing changes and lack of promotions.

Star Plus has taken shocking decisions in recent months. From changing slots to suddenly ending the show, it has taken several surprising steps to attract viewers. Instead of making the viewers delighted, it has generally disheartened them because fans have often shared disappointment over these decisions. 

The channel has now decided to reshuffle the slots of some of its popular shows. Mr and Mrs Parshuram, Udne Ki Aasha, and Todkar Dil Mera to telecast on new slots from tomorrow. 

Mr and Mrs Parshuram To Air On 7 PM From 25 May

The remake of the Bengali TV series Parshuram – Ajker Nayok, Mr & Mrs Parshuram, is set to air at 7 PM starting tomorrow, i.e., 25 May 2026. 

Starring Neil Bhatt and Shambhavi Singh, the show has been successful in grabbing the audience's attention throughout its run. Fans have appreciated its unique and engaging storyline, especially Shiv Prasad’s (Neil Bhatt) efforts to hide his reality from his family while dealing with a criminal as a police agent.

Fans Become Disappointed Over The Time Change

On top of that, the channel has now shifted Mr & Mrs Parshuram to the early slot. Fans have shown their anger on the announcement post. Most of them think it is quite hard to grab the audience’s eyeball early slot. Some of them still showed hope that it could perform well in this slot. 

It would now be interesting to see whether Mr & Mrs Parshuram would be able to survive on this slot or meet the same result that early slots’ shows experience nowadays. This is because most TV shows telecast between 7 - 8 pm suffer an early end because they fail to attract the audience’s attention. 

Fans Slam Lack Of Promotion By Star Plus

Apart from the slot change, fans have openly criticised the channel over the handling method of Mr & Mrs Parshuram’s promotion. The channel has reportedly neither shared a poster nor a promo for its marketing over the previous weeks. 

Fans argued that the channel hasn’t released a promo for several days despite the ongoing dramatic twists in the current storyline. Many viewers took to social media platforms to raise their voices that the show is being ignored after managing to build a loyal audience since its premiere. 

Some fans also argued that stronger promotions could have helped the show attract wider audience attention instead of being pushed to the early slot. This is because the latest change has also sparked frustration among the loyal viewers. Many are also doubting the channel’s strategy for the show’s future.

Udne Ki Aasha And Tod Kar Dil Mera To Also Suffer Slot Change

Apart from the slot change of Mr and Mrs Parshuram, the channel has also changed the slot for its two popular shows.  Tod Kar Dil Mera, which is scheduled to end soon, will now be telecast from 6:30 pm until its episodes are completed. 

On top of that, Udne Ki Aasha will also suffer a slot change from tomorrow. Instead of 9 pm, it will now air at 8:30 pm. The channel had earlier done similar changes for this show. It was earlier pushed to 8:30 pm despite securing its place in the top 5 shows in terms of TRP. It experienced a sharp drop in viewership after the slot change. 

The channel later gave it an original slot to make way for Mr and Mrs Parshuram. But it has now been pushed to 8:30 pm to fill its slot. Similar to Mr and Mrs Parshuram, Udne Ki Aasha’s fans have also been disheartened due to this change. 

Why Star Plus Does These Changes

The channel has experienced a sharp decline in its viewership data in recent months. Its leading shows are also losing their grip on the audience’s attention. It has also shut many shows down after this decrease. Star Plus has now started focusing on attracting viewers with these tactics. 

This is because the channel is also working to bring attractive content. It recently announced Sairaab, starring Rohit Chandel and Madirakshi Mundle. It is set to hit the screen on 2 June at 7:30 pm. 

The channel is also reportedly working to bring another new show. This program is said to be a remake of Professor Bidya Banerjee, a renowned Bengali show. This show might come in June or July.
