Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung has officially begun a new phase in his career. He has reintroduced himself under the new stage name Evab to mark the start of his solo journey.
Last month, Heeseung confirmed that he was leaving ENHYPEN to focus on his own music. Although he is not a part of the group, he will stay under the same BELIFT LAB group of the band.

He revealed that the name has been close to him since his childhood. It has some of his happiest memories and shows the person he wants fans to see in his new chapter.
The agency also explained that the new images released on his Instagram account show the purest form of Evan before people put expectations on him. It features a softer and more natural look, like his new brown hair with the least styling.

Evan said in a statement through the agency that he wanted this new chapter to show his most honest self. He explained that the name shows who he really is beyond the image fans saw during his years as an idol of the group.
He also introduced a new social media account under the new name. His first Instagram post instantly caught attention because it looked different from old K-pop teaser photos.
